‘North Kerala is the base of a terrorist network…’, the sensational statement of the director of The Kerala Story, Sudipto Sen

Director of The Kerala Story, Sudipto Sen sensational comments on North Kerala

The Kerala Story‘ is in constant controversy. The film is being accused of damaging the image of the state and having an anti-Islam agenda. Meanwhile, the film’s director Sudipto Sen has given a big statement. At a news conference in Mumbai on Wednesday, Sudipto described northern Kerala and Mangaluru as “terror hubs.” He was answering questions from journalists about the claim that 32,000 women were forcibly converted to Islam and then recruited by ISIS. It’s really interesting that while the filmmakers once again said on Wednesday that they will soon release the claim of 32,000 victims, on Thursday the filmmakers in the Supreme Court, through their attorney, said they would like to put another disclaimer on the film. . . Are you ready for it? It will be clearly written that the figures given in your movie have no authentic basis and it is a fictional movie based on the story of three girls.

However, while speaking to the media on Wednesday night, Sudipto Sen made a new claim, over which the state government’s eyebrows may be raised. He said the northern part of Kerala is the “center of the terrorist network.” He said: ‘There are two Keralas. It’s like a postcard: backwaters, beautiful scenery, kalarippayattu, dance, martial arts, elephants. This is the Kerala that everyone knows. But there is another Kerala apart from this one, it is the northern part of the state which includes Malappuram, Kasaragod, and Kozhikode which connects with southern Karnataka including Mangaluru. This is the base of the terrorist network.

‘Go to Kasargod and Kozhikode, you will know the truth’

Sudipto Sen further stated that although Kerala has the highest literacy rate in the country, it excels in parameters such as the Human Development Index (HDI) and the health of women and children, there are many things that are “swept under the rug”. ‘ It was happening all the time. He said: ‘Instead of arguing with us or making fun of us, if these questions automatically arise in your mind, then go to Kasargod and Kozhikode and see for yourself there. Now the truth will be known.

There is mention of religious conversion of only 6 women in the figures.

Opponents of ‘The Kerala Story’ call it a ‘propaganda’ film. There is already an uproar over the film’s claim of the number of Kerala women converted. The movie’s teaser claimed that 32,000 women in the state were converted and recruited by ISIS. While there are public records that only six women from the state joined ISIS, only one of them was a Hindu.
