Congress Wins in Jubilee Hills: CM Revanth Reddy Meets Rahul Gandhi, Counters Opposition Campaign
Congress wins Jubilee Hills by-election: The Congress party registered a significant victory in the Jubilee Hills by-election, with its candidate Naveen Yadav winning the seat. Following this success, Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy met senior Congress leader and Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi in Delhi.
CM Revanth Reddy was accompanied by Deputy CM Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka, AICC Telangana in-charge Meenakshi Natarajan, TPCC chief Mahesh Kumar Goud, Naveen Yadav, and several senior Telangana Congress leaders. During the meeting, Rahul Gandhi congratulated the team for securing the Jubilee Hills seat and personally congratulated Naveen Yadav on his victory.
The leaders briefed Rahul Gandhi on the Jubilee Hills by-election campaign, the political atmosphere in the state, and the party’s renewed strength in Telangana.
Opposition Campaign Countered
For the past few weeks, opposition parties had been circulating claims that the relationship between the Congress high command and CM Revanth Reddy had deteriorated. They alleged that Rahul Gandhi had denied Revanth an appointment, suggesting dissatisfaction with the Chief Minister.
However, Congress sources dismissed these reports as baseless propaganda.
The latest meeting in Delhi effectively counters the opposition narrative. Sharing the photos on X (Twitter), CM Revanth Reddy stated that he met Rahul Gandhi as a “courtesy visit” following the “resounding victory” in the Jubilee Hills by-election. He also introduced the newly elected MLA Naveen Yadav to the Congress leadership.
Revanth Reddy further added that AICC General Secretary KC Venugopal, Meenakshi Natarajan, Bhatti Vikramarka, Mahesh Kumar Goud, and Rohin Reddy were part of the delegation present during the meeting.
The meeting highlights Congress’s unity and signals strengthened coordination between the Telangana leadership and the national high command.
