AP CID says MP Gorantla Madhav video report is fake – Newstodayonline24

Andhra Pradesh CID chief Sunil Kumar said the forensic report claiming that the video of YCP MP Gorantla Madhav was original was false. A few days ago, TDP spokesman Pattabhi said that the US-based forensic science laboratory, Eclipse Forensic Lab, had confirmed that Gorantla’s nude video was original. The forensic report also went viral as did the MP’s nude video.

The head of the CID said that Jim Stafford of Eclipse Lab had sent him an email stating that the certificate issued in his name was false. Sunil said that the video given to the forensic laboratory to identify whether it was original or transformed was not filmed directly, but was filmed while it was being played on another screen. He even cited the example of director ace Rajamouli’s RRR film and said that the director could have used graphics in the film, but if a viewer in the cinema films it on his mobile device and examines it in the forensic lab, he would say it is not transformed. since the video filmed in the cinema is original. “The truth that graphics have been inserted into the film would be revealed only if the original video of the film came out while the director was shooting it,” Sunil said.

“Stafford (head of the CID) told me that Gorantla was not asked to determine the authenticity of the video being played and that he did not offer an opinion on it. Stafford also said that without examining it, I can’t speculate whether it’s authentic or not,” the CID chief told reporters.

The intimate conversation between the deputy and a woman would only be recorded on their respective mobile phones but not on a third party recording their chat, he pointed out. Forensic lab authorities would be able to identify whether the video was altered or original only if they were sent the screen recording on the mobile phones of the woman or man involved in the conversation. “It is very impossible to authenticate a recorded video while it is playing on another screen.”

The CID chief also said that since the forensic report was fabricated, legal action would be taken against those involved in the forgery. He said reports submitted by private forensic labs would be invalid.
