Amara Kavyam Rakes in ₹16.4 Crore on Day 1 — Dhanush Makes Bollywood Waves
Amara Kavyam Day 1 Box Office Collection: The love story Amara Kavyam — the Hindi film Tere Ishq Mein, dubbed and released in Telugu as Amara Kavyam — opened to solid box office numbers on November 28. The film, featuring Dhanush and Kriti Sanon, along with Prakash Raj, Priyanshu Painyuli, and Thota Roy Chowdhury, reportedly collected ₹16.4 crore on its first day.
This robust opening has earned the film a place among the top 10 Bollywood first-day earners, and — according to some sources — even overtaken Jolly LLB 3 to crown Dhanush as a new “Bollywood box office king.”
This marks the first time Dhanush and Kriti Sanon share the screen. Their on-screen chemistry has drawn attention, and audiences appear to have responded well — even though reviews have been mixed. In particular, Dhanush’s performance seems to have stood out.
According to Kriti Sanon, working with Dhanush was a memorable experience: she praised his dedication, calling him “a perfectionist” and lauding his passion for his craft. She added that his filmmaking insight and acting depth make him one of the most inspiring talents to work with.
While the Telugu-dubbed version reportedly underperformed, the Hindi release has clearly struck a chord, offering promising signs for the film’s overall box office performance.
