TTD Denies Ban on Devotees: Fake News on Shivajyothi Goes Viral
TTD ban news on Shivajyothi: Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam (TTD) has issued a clear statement addressing the rumours that popular TV anchor Shivajyothi has been banned from visiting Tirumala. Some social media posts falsely alleged that TTD blocked her Aadhaar card and restricted darshan. Officials have now confirmed that such news is completely baseless.
What Actually Happened?
Recently, an old video of Shivajyothi resurfaced online. In the clip, she is seen in the Annaprasadam queue, allegedly using derogatory words like “caste-based beggar.” Devotees reacted strongly and expressed outrage on social media.
Following this uproar, fake screenshots and fabricated notifications were widely circulated claiming that TTDhad cancelled her darshan privileges. However, TTD has not released any official notice regarding such action.
TTD’s Official Clarification
TTD officials confirmed that:
No individual can be banned from having darshan
Only bogus bookings and brokers are restricted from using Aadhaar-based checks
TTD does not have the authority to block anyone’s Aadhaar card
Only God can deny darshan, not any organisational restrictions
TTD urged devotees to verify news only through official sources and not fall for social media rumours.
Shivajyothi’s Response
Shivajyothi, who is currently seven months pregnant, clarified that:
The viral video is old, not recent
She apologised to devotees if her words hurt religious sentiments
Fake News Alert for Devotees
This incident highlights how quickly misinformation spreads online. TTD requests pilgrims to rely on verified statements instead of viral posts.
