No Fear of Lawsuits: Shivajyothi Responds to Tirumala Prasadam Controversy

Popular TV presenter and social media personality Teenmar Savitri, widely known as Shivajyothi, has finally responded to the ongoing controversy surrounding her comments on Tirumala Srivari Prasadam. Facing heavy criticism from devotees and Hindu groups, she released a video clarifying her statement and offering an apology.

How the Tirumala Prasadam Issue Began

Shivajyothi, who visited Tirumala along with her husband and friend Sonu, recorded a video after taking Srivari prasadam. In the clip, Jyothi jokingly said:

“Sonu is begging for the caste prasadam, friends.”

Sonu replied, “I have never begged in my life… I am begging for the first time.”

Shivajyothi then added with a laugh, “The richest beggar in Tirupati.”

After she posted this video on social media, many devotees perceived the comments as disrespectful to the sacred prasadam. Hindu organizations condemned her remarks, triggering widespread trolling and backlash online.

Shivajyothi’s Apology: Clarification & Emotional Response

Amid rising criticism, Shivajyothi released a video explaining her intention. She said:

“The comments I made about Tirumala prasadam seemed wrong to some people. If anyone felt hurt because of my words, I sincerely apologize.”

She clarified that the term “rich” was misunderstood:

She did not use it because she stood in the ₹10,000 L1 queue.

She meant it as a reference to standing in a costly or premium line.

Shivajyothi further added that she has deep devotion toward Lord Venkateswara:

“I perform vratas every Saturday for months. My child is a blessing from Swamy. How can I insult Him?”

“Not Out of Fear of Lawsuits” – Shivajyothi Speaks Firmly

Responding to comments that she apologized only due to legal pressure, Shivajyothi stated:

“I am not apologizing out of fear that someone might file a case. I felt my way of speaking was not right, so I apologized. My intention was never to insult prasadam.”

Her video is now going viral across social media, with many accepting her clarification, though discussions around the controversy continue online.

Final Words

While Shivajyothi’s explanation has helped calm some criticism, the Tirumala prasadam controversy remains a trending topic on social media. Her apology video seems to have eased tensions, but reactions are still pouring in from devotees and netizens.
