CID Interrogation: Rana Daggubati and Vishnu Priya Appear for Betting Apps Case Inquiry

In a significant development in the online betting and gaming apps promotion case, Tollywood actor Rana Daggubati and popular anchor Vishnu Priya appeared before the CID Special Investigation Team (SIT) today. The investigation team has been questioning several film personalities over the past few weeks, and statements were recorded from both celebrities during today’s session.

Vishnu Priya Submitted Account & Agreement Details

Authorities revealed that anchor Vishnu Priya had promoted at least three betting applications. During the interrogation, she submitted her bank account details, bank statements, and information related to the agreements signed for the promotional activities. The SIT is also probing the income earned through these promotions.

29 Tollywood Celebrities Named in the Case

The betting app case has widened, with 29 Tollywood celebrities facing allegations. Among the names booked are:

Vijay Deverakonda

Rana Daggubati

Manchu Lakshmi

Prakash Raj

Nidhi Agarwal

Ananya Nagalla

Sreemukhi

Actor Prakash Raj appeared before the SIT earlier this week. The investigation stems from FIRs filed by the Hyderabad and Cyberabad police, after which the government set up the SIT under the CID to probe the illegal betting app network and celebrity endorsements.

Rana Daggubati Claims He Promoted Only After Legal Verification

Speaking to the media after completing his interrogation, Rana Daggubati clarified that he endorsed the app only after confirming its legality. He stated that his legal team conducted a detailed verification before accepting the campaign. Rana said he cooperated fully with the CID officials and explained all relevant details.

CID SIT Continues Probe into Celebrity Endorsements

The Special Investigation Team is thoroughly examining the operation of betting apps, the money trail, and the role of influencers and actors who promoted them. As part of the same inquiry, anchor Vishnu Priya also attended questioning today.

The investigation is expected to bring more clarity in the coming days, with additional Tollywood celebrities likely to appear before the officials.
