Speaking during an event in Thimphu, Bhutan, on Tuesday (November 11), the Prime Minister asserted that those behind the conspiracy will not be spared and will be brought to justice.
PM Modi described the blast as a terrible and heartbreaking incident, expressing deep condolences to the families of the victims. He said the entire nation stands with the affected families in this hour of grief. The Prime Minister also mentioned that the investigating agencies are thoroughly probing the conspiracy angle and assured that every effort will be made to foil such plots in the future.
Delhi Blast Details: Explosion Near Red Fort Metro Station
The massive explosion occurred near the Red Fort Metro station in Old Delhi on Monday evening (November 11), causing widespread panic and destruction. The blast reportedly took place inside a Hyundai i20 car around 6:52 PM, while it was moving slowly near a traffic signal.
Eyewitnesses reported that the explosion was so powerful that 22 vehicles, two e-rickshaws, and one auto-rickshaw were engulfed in flames. The windows of nearby houses and shops were shattered, and black smoke covered the area as people screamed and ran for safety.
Casualties and Rescue Operations
So far, 12 people have been confirmed dead, and 24 others injured, with 10 in critical condition, according to police officials. The injured victims were rushed to LNJP Hospital for treatment.
Following the explosion, 20 fire tenders were immediately deployed to the scene to control the fire. Investigative agencies, including forensic teams and the National Investigation Agency (NIA), have launched a full-scale probe into the cause of the blast. Preliminary reports suggest a possible conspiracy, and several suspects are being interrogated.

As Delhi reels from the tragic incident, authorities have stepped up security across major public places and metro stations in the city. The Prime Minister’s firm statement has reassured the public that those behind the deadly attack will face strict action.
