Deputy Chief Minister and Jana Sena Party leader Pawan Kalyan has come forward to help veteran Tollywood actress Pakeezah (Vasuki), after she made an emotional appeal highlighting her severe financial struggles.
Recently, actress Vasuki, known for her memorable performance as Pakeezah in Telugu cinema, broke down during a media interview. She revealed that she is currently facing extreme financial hardship, having spent all her savings on her mother’s medical treatment. With no support from the Tamil film industry, she stated that she has now turned to Andhra Pradesh leaders for help, including CM Chandrababu Naidu and Deputy CM Pawan Kalyan.

After Pakeezah’s tearful video went viral on social media platforms, Pawan Kalyan was deeply moved by her condition and took immediate action. He announced financial assistance of ₹2 lakh to support the actress during this challenging time.
On Tuesday afternoon, Government Whip P. Hariprasad and Gannavaram MLA Giddi Satyanarayana personally handed over the amount to Pakeezah at the Jana Sena Party central office in Mangalagiri.

An emotional Pakeezah expressed her heartfelt gratitude towards Pawan Kalyan. She said, “Even if he were a small child, I would still kiss his feet for this kind gesture.
