CP Sajjanar’s Press Meet on iBomma Ravi Arrest: 21,000 Pirated Movies, 50 Lakh Users’ Data Exposed

Hyderabad Commissioner of Police CV Sajjanar revealed shocking details regarding the arrest of iBomma manager Immadi Ravi, the key mastermind behind one of India’s largest piracy networks. Addressing a press meet on Monday, CP Sajjanar stated that piracy has grown into a dangerous digital demon, severely damaging the film industry and risking public data.

21,000 Pirated Movies Found on Hard Disk

The Hyderabad Police seized 21,000 pirated movies from Ravi’s hard disk — including titles ranging from older films like The Godfather to recent releases like OG. The CP confirmed that Ravi not only uploaded movies but also ran betting advertisements—particularly Win and OneXWin—inside the pirated prints.

The press meet was attended by several prominent film industry personalities, including Megastar Chiranjeevi, Nagarjuna, Rajamouli, Suresh Babu, and Dil Raju, showing the seriousness of the matter.

iBomma Behind a Massive Piracy Racket

CP Sajjanar said that Ravi had a clear criminal mindset, running iBomma since 2019. He purchased 110 domains, set up servers in Indonesia, Switzerland, and the Netherlands, and continuously shifted platforms to avoid detection. So far, five cases have been registered against him, with associates Duddela Shivaraj and Prashanth already in custody.

Earnings of ₹20 Crore, Property Worth Crores Frozen

According to police, Immadi Ravi earned ₹20 crore through piracy and related betting promotions. Authorities have already frozen:

₹3 crore in funds

35 bank accounts

Laptops, hard disks, checkbooks, and digital assets

The CP stated that a full financial investigation is underway.

50 Lakh Users’ Data at Risk

One of the most alarming revelations was that Ravi stored data of 50 lakh users who visited iBomma.

CP Sajjanar warned:

“It is extremely dangerous for such sensitive user data to be in the hands of someone involved in cybercrime. There is a high risk of this data being sold on the dark web.”

Many users who visited the iBomma website have already reported cyber fraud incidents, linking back to leaked data.

Ravi Obtained a Fake Identity & Foreign Citizenship

Police revealed that:

Ravi is originally from Visakhapatnam

He studied computer science

He obtained a driving license and a passport under the fake identity of Prahlad Kumar

He even acquired citizenship of Saint Navy, a Caribbean island nation

The CP said Ravi became extremely cautious in recent months as producers and police increased pressure on piracy networks.
