Chiranjeevi Moves Telangana High Court Over GHMC Delay
Chiranjeevi: Megastar Chiranjeevi has taken legal action against the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) for delaying the approval of his house renovation work in Jubilee Hills. The Telangana High Court has now issued significant directions in response to the petition filed by the actor.
GHMC Delay Prompts Chiranjeevi Legal Action
Chiranjeevi had earlier applied to GHMC seeking inspection and regularization of the G+2 structure constructed as part of his house renovation, for which he obtained permission in 2022. Despite repeated follow-ups, GHMC did not process his request, leading the star to file a petition with the Telangana High Court for a speedy resolution.
High Court’s Order on Chiranjeevi Petition
Justice B. Vijaysen Reddy recently conducted a hearing on the matter. During the session, Chiranjeevi’s legal counsel informed the court that the GHMC failed to act even after submitting the required documents. In response, the GHMC’s lawyer assured that the matter would be handled as per legal procedures.
After reviewing the arguments, the High Court directed the GHMC Commissioner to examine Chiranjeevi’s application within four weeks and take appropriate action by the law.
Chiranjeevi’s Busy Film Schedule
While dealing with the legal issue, Chiranjeevi is simultaneously busy with multiple film projects. The veteran actor is currently working on:
‘Vishwambhara’, a socio-fantasy entertainer directed by Vasishtha Malladi, set for a grand Sankranthi 2026 release.
Chiranjeevi: Upcoming films with directors Anil Ravipudi and Srikanth Odela.
In Vishwambhara, Trisha Krishnan plays the female lead, reuniting with Chiranjeevi after 18 years. The film also features an ensemble cast including Ashika Ranganath, Rao Ramesh, Rajiv Kanakala, Shubhlekha Sudhakar, and Kunal Kapoor.
