Why should YCP care about these polls?

The results of various polls conducted by agencies YCP, I-PAC, and a Delhi-based organization have put the party’s elected representatives on edge as most of them are likely to be shown the door for elections. 2024 generals. Electoral strategist Prashant Kishore, the owner of I-PAC, suggested that around 75 MLAs should be replaced as they were facing strong opposition in their constituencies and their charts were trending down.

YCP sources said that a survey conducted by Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy’s reliable agencies indicated that 60 of the MLAs in the Cabinet were not performing well on the ground and therefore the CM is of the opinion to replace them.

The MLAs of Sattenapalli, Chilakaluripet in Palnadu district, Kavali, Kovur and Kandukur in Nellore district, Markapuram and Erragondapalem in Prakasam district, Venkatagiri, Gudur, Srikalahasti and Kandukur in Tirupati district are likely to be replaced, Tenali, Ponnur, Mangalagiri in Guntur district.

Likewise, Kondapi and Paruchuru’s YCP keepers are likely to be replaced as well.

Jagan reportedly plans to give tickets to new faces in Anantapur, Nellore, Bapatla, Vijayawada, Eluru, Amalapuram, Anakapalli, Visakha, Vizianagaram, and Srikalahasti constituencies. Naasapuram MP Raghu Ramakrishna  would also be replaced.

According to party sources, Tadikonda MLA Undavalli Sridevi supporters have been protesting against the appointment of MLC Dokka Manikyavaraprasad as YCP coordinator in the constituency. Followers of ex-minister Sucharita also organized a Dharna recently.

Meanwhile, there is another threat to the MLAs, as RRR said the election battle would be one-sided if the TDP and Jana Sena unite in the 2024 election. It said a poll under the banner Public Talk had come up with its predictions on the upcoming elections. elections and the results are already viral on the internet.

Growing opposition

There are rumors that MLAs and ministers are of the opinion that the government faces strong opposition from the public. Many of them lamented that the volunteer system has alienated them from the public. Except for pushing the button, development work is not picking up in any of the constituencies, party MLAs felt.

YCP lawmakers are reportedly afraid of being defeated in the upcoming elections as they may experience growing opposition against the government during the ongoing Gadapa Gadapaku Mana Prabhutvam when MLAs were questioned and even abused by many people. In some places, the MLAs in the match even had to run for cover as the crowd tried to attack them. In such a situation, if the TDP and Jana Sena can unite, there is talk that the chances of winning for the YCP would be very bleak in the state
