KTR Slams CM Revanth Reddy After Panchayat Poll Results, Predicts Congress Downfall in Telangana
KTR criticizes CM Revanth Reddy: Former minister and BRS working president K. T. Rama Rao (KTR) has launched a sharp attack on the ruling Congress government in Telangana, asserting that the party is rapidly losing public confidence and is heading towards political irrelevance.
Reacting to the second phase results of the Telangana Panchayat elections, KTR said the verdict clearly reflects the growing dissatisfaction among villagers against the Congress government led by Chief Minister Revanth Reddy. Posting his reaction on X (formerly Twitter), KTR stated that the people have once again delivered their judgment through ballots, indicating that the Congress, which came to power “by chance,” is steadily losing its grip on the state.
BRS Performs Strongly Even in Congress Strongholds
KTR congratulated BRS leaders and grassroots workers for delivering impressive results, particularly in constituencies represented by Congress ministers and MLAs. He said the cracks appearing in the ruling party’s so-called strongholds are clear signs of a shifting political landscape in Telangana.
According to KTR, the BRS cadre achieved remarkable success even without party symbols, proving that public sentiment is strongly leaning against the ruling party.
‘Congress Governance Has Failed in Just Two Years’
The BRS leader strongly criticised CM Revanth Reddy’s administration, accusing it of two years of misgovernance, failure to implement guarantees, and alleged large-scale fraud. He said these failures have become a noose around the Congress party’s neck, gradually pushing it out of public life.
KTR remarked that if the Congress is facing such setbacks in elections held without party symbols, its defeat would be far more severe in future local body elections contested on party lines.
‘A Slap in the Face to Revanth Reddy’
Calling the Panchayat election results a “slap in the face” to CM Revanth Reddy, KTR said the Congress’s inability to even secure half of the panchayats—despite winning decisively during the BRS regime—exposes the deep public anger in every village.
He asserted that within just two years, it has become evident that Congress is “not a safe hand, but an empty hand” for Telangana.
Congress Will Lose Its Political Address: KTR
KTR confidently predicted that under Revanth Reddy’s “incompetent and anarchic rule,” the Congress party is certain to lose its political identity before the next Assembly elections.
He expressed gratitude to the people of Telangana for standing firm against what he termed the Congress government’s anarchy, corruption, and false promises over the past two years.
BRS Will Stand by Its Cadre
Concluding his statement, KTR assured full protection and support to the “pink soldiers” who are leading the struggle to free Telangana from Congress rule. He promised a bright political future for all those who stood firmly with the BRS during challenging times.
