12A Railway Colony Movie Review: Pch! Wrong Station for This Thriller

12A Railway Colony Movie Review: 12A Railway Colony, directed by Nani Kasaragadda under the supervision of Anil Vishwanath, features Allari Naresh and Kamakshi Bhaskar in lead roles. Promoted as a suspense horror thriller with shocking twists, the film unfortunately struggles to deliver the excitement promised during promotions. Here’s the complete review.

Story Overview

Karthik (Allari Naresh) works under politician Tillanna (Jeevan) in Warangal and secretly loves his neighbor Aaradhana (Kamakshi Bhaskar). Just as life seems smooth, Aaradhana and her mother are brutally murdered.

Karthik becomes the prime suspect, but investigator Rana Pratap (Saikumar) helps him escape arrest.

The main suspense revolves around:

Who committed the murder, and why?

Though the premise sounds gripping, the execution falls short.

 Analysis: Twists That Don’t Twist

Director Anil Vishwanath claimed that the film was filled with twists every 5–10 minutes. But what appears on screen are predictable turns we’ve seen many times before.

Major Issues

  • Weak logic in key twists
  • Slow and dragging first half
  • Repetitive scenes leading to confusion
  • No real horror elements despite being a suspense-horror film
  • A routine climax that fails to surprise

The runtime of 2 hours and 5 minutes feels stretched, especially with the sluggish first half and repetitive screenplay.

Even the interval twist, though decent, gets overused again in the second half.

Performances

Allari Naresh

He delivers a good performance as always, but the weak script doesn’t support him.

Kamakshi Bhaskar

Performs well and suits her role.

Supporting Cast

Viva Harsha, Jeevan, Getup Srinu, and Saddam – all are okay in their limited roles.

Technical Aspects

Bheems’ music works well; songs and background score are decent

Cinematography is neat

The writing and screenplay by Anil Vishwanath lack depth and originality

Production values are high; a Kashmir episode looks grand, but adds no value to the story

The team clearly trusted the director, but the output doesn’t justify the effort.

Verdict: A Routine Thriller That Misses the Station

12A Railway Colony tries to be a twist-filled suspense thriller, but lands as a routine and predictable film with slow narration and weak logic.

Rating: 2/5
